2018 Scooter Calendar

Whether you go every year or it’s always on your to do list and you never get round to it, it’s important to get your scooter events for the year booked in early. The perfect way to blow away those cold January blues, getting your rallies for the year locked and loaded gives you something to look forward to in the summer months, and ensures you know where your next Vespa or Lambretta is coming from.

To make it even easier for you, we’ve rounded up some of the best UK scooter rallies and scooter-friendly events of 2018 to make sure you’re as immersed in the mod scene as ever this coming year.

Why should it only be seaside towns on the south coast that get all the fun? We suggest heading to sunny Skegness between May 4th -7th. With one of the best parts fairs around, accompanied by music by bands such as the Modfathers and Dave Porter leading the list of DJs, you know you’re in for a treat. Book quick, as with no campsite this year, local accomodation is sure to get snapped up quickly.

While not technically a scooter event, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to tell you about this one. Celebrating its historic 30th year, the London international Ska Festival is back to champion all things ska with a stellar lineup. Taking place across the capital over Easter weekend, legends from Horace Andy to Bad Manners and over 100 more will appear across the four day festival.

The first weekend in May sees a mod institution return once more. The famous Cavern Club will play host to the much anticipated Liverpool Mod Weekender. So anticipated, in fact, that weekend tickets have already sold out. But don’t worry, day tickets are still available as acts from the Butterfly Collective to the Absolute Jam hit the famous stage.

Forever an unmissable event on the scooter calendar, the Isle of Man Scooter Rally returns again from June 22nd - 23rd 2018 to the Villa Marina on Douglas Promenade. Be sure to get there by Saturday morning with your scooter in full working order to take part in the famous ride out.

Last but not least, Durham’s Stone Valley Festival is the perfect way to see off your scooter-filled 2018 in style. The classic ride out and Show ‘n’ Shine competition will be present and correct, and bands including Angelic Upstarts, the Clone Roses and From The Jam will be keeping the capacity crowd entertained. Taking place over the last weekend in June, weekend tickets are flying out now priced at £39.
